A thesis is
a document describing what you believe in and what you want to prove. A thesis or dissertation is submitted in
order to give the findings of certain problems to be resolved. The basic steps
to be followed while carrying out thesis are as follows:
1. Introduction: Describing the purpose
of the study,
2. Review of literature: This includes
giving a preview of previous related researches (their objectives and findings)
3. Methodology: This includes the whole
process of data collection and data interpretation.
4. Findings: It includes the findings of
the whole research, the conclusions made out of these findings and the
suggestions made.
M.tech thesis is carried out to make significant
contributions to Research in technical field.
It may
involve certain improvements over the past work done or may involve a deeper
insight into the ongoing processes. It basically involves anything new which is
contributed by us.
The
completion of thesis may take a considerable time as contributing something new
in technical field is not an easy job. So we can take some small topics for our
Research. The objective of research or
problem must be clearly defined. “A clearly defined problem is half solved”. An
appropriate guide should be selected for the proper guidance of M.tech thesis. One should work hard to
get the stated problem solved by applying various theories and procedures. This
is an important part of the M.Tech degree, so utmost care must be taken while
carrying out this research.
